A martini demands a particular glass
No simple vessel is up to the task
The walls of the receptacle must be thin
As if the air around were supporting the gin

The garnish should be olives - three or four
Or I suggest you show the bartender the door
No need for a toothpick to skewer the flesh
but indeed, those olives had better be fresh

Vermouth is a good thing - don't skimp on it here
Some wet the glass and then let it drip clear
But don't overdo it with that precious wine
Just a quick spash will make it sublime

Most important of all is the chill of that glass
And the cold in that mixture so the cool taste will last
Shaken or stirred? Who cares in the end?
What you raise to your lips is a mighty fine blend!

So sian these few days plus consecutive 3 nights of classes made me really shacked..

Introducing my new bag!! Crumpler Complete Seed.

I have been waiting to get a crumpler of my own for quite some time, now that I have it, I shall treasure it alot!! =)

It's different as I got it using my hard-earned money. It's a little too expensive but come to think about it, I am just giving myself a little treat for working hard and getting the right responses.

This bag is quite big and can contain a lot of things, more than enuf spaces to put the things I usually have in my previous bag. I can even bring my laptop in this bag too, perhaps good enuf to use it for vacation as well, haha.

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:

You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Today's a tiring but it was all worthwhile! Had to go back to the office in the morning to get some work done. After which, I have to rush down to school for classes, last 2nd class of OB, Organisational Behaviour.

After class, I went to meet Chen Wei, Lin Hui and Shou Shou at Bugis where we went to Sim Lim Square to look for digital camera. At first, my eyes took upon the Casio model, which I got to know later that isn't that good.

It was after a long while that we managed to find Olympus µ 1040 at $400+. After which, we went down to opposite Bugis Junction to have our dinner. By then, most of us were famished till to the long search at Sim Lim Square. We had QQ noodles, which I feel the noodles is quite nice. I feel the food is rather expensive. Nowadays food price is getting higher and higher. It makes us unable to save up if we spend a lot on food in malls and city areas.

Didi's gonna POP this coming Wednesday but I am unable to go, so Mummy and Aunt gotta take many nice photos for me instead. =)

Yea, finally handed OB report on Wednesday. It's been a tiring week and Friday is set for relaxing!! At first asked a couple of friends out but perhaps too last minute ask them out le so they din join.

Nevertheless, I still had an enjoyable night, having nice food at Chinatown and games with friends at Settlers' Cafe. It is my first time being there. At first I look at the board on the table, den someone say "OH, THIS IS ACTUALLY A MENU!" =P

Din mean to laugh but we just can't control. We had a couple of games, quite fun and enjoyable. We played for around 3 hrs and each spent about $15+, came with free flow of drinks. The variety of games is a lot but we only get to see a few. Some are nice and some are just no-brainer games.

The overall experience is great, good to get a few good friends down to game and relax.

So many late nights for the past few weeks, revision for tests and staying late to write reviews for assignments, etc. Time to put a little load off my mind tmr!!

Yea! Tmr can go relax a bit with frens le.. Sometimes feel like acting like a child, stubborn, etc... Luckily for me, mum and dad dun control that much of me, prolly I let them feel safe, lol.

Anyway, life's short, so working hard muz come along with playing harder!! Feeling excited with tots of karaoke~~

Hmm, nvr try paint ball shooting b4, hope to have a game with frenz~~

Really sleepy after reading articles and watching movie for group assignment, still got 4 more hours till prepare to go work, need to have the relevant stuffs prepared before then.

Cannot blame anyone for working late, we are not as efficient as other groups to organize group discussions and assign members to do research. Luckily, Flora managed to explain to us on what the assignment criteria, so we can carry on.

Back to the tired days when I will be dozing off in the day at work, what to do? I am still the indecisive, unprepared little boy..

It's so late but I can't seem to fall asleep, perhaps it's the heat that's affecting me. The weather's been hot lately, sweating a lot during the day makes me so uncomfortable.

Being greedy is a good thing I would say, of cos it really depends of what I want to have. I have got a very good bro, parents who support me and many nice friends to hang around with. Still, I feel at lost at times, perhaps my heart hasn't got a good warm place to settle down.

Haha, not a time to talk about things like this, gotta go to bed and catch some sleep soon, if not tomorrow's revision would be impossible. Heard from the lecturer that the test will cover chapter 1 - 4, really a lot of information to cover so can't really miss out anything.

I do hope I can do well, in many aspects and that I can receive the support I need. =P

Monday, August 11, 2008

Happy Belated 43rd Birthday, Singapore! Had a little nap after dinner earlier, now working on my Introductory Accounting test revision. Really don't know what the test will be covering on, the lecturer had us revise all 3 chapters of the book.

Perhaps I have very low determination, I just can't seem to be able to concentrate, kept thinking of other things. Gotta be more decisive anyway~~

For now, things are certainly getting better for me, work's coping well and I managed to learn quite a lot of new stuffs, that's certainly good news! Haha..

Still thinking of whether or not to get an iPhone, I've been thinking, if it's too hard or too costly to get, I might as well settle with my current iPod or perhaps get a new one with more memory.

These are all expenses plus "wants", certainly can do without, just that often I lose to the war of determination and succumb to them. =(

It's still aching, not as much though.. Just that I can't seem to lift it up during casual bb game... Gotta recover soon~~

Just had some nice durians yesterday, cos god-ma brought them specially from her home to us. A little after sooooo~~ many years is awesome! Hope to taste more of her yummy delicacies soon~~

Sunday, August 03, 2008

Why is it that I can still feel the ache which I got from the badminton game this Wednesday?

It's really aching... Hope nothing is wrong with my arm =(

Had a wonderful time yesterday, especially when I get to spend quality time with my friends.

Went to Bugis Seoul Garden for dinner yesterday with Bao Xian, Natalie, Selena, Yong Hock, Ivy, Chloe, Evan, Missy and Yong Wei. Luckily I skipped lunch, if not will be too full to move around. We had lots of nice food, plus some experimental food, made by Evan. ^^

Introducing the super prawn peeler, Missy~~! So good at prawn peeling that she was in-charge of peeling all the prawns for a table, and the table had most prawns too. It was very easy to find the hill of prawn shells after some time.

After dinner, Missy and me went to join Chen Wei, Lin Hui and Chong to KTV session. It was fun but I feel next time if there's more people, it would be merrier. We sang till 12.30am.

Then we got down to St James Powerstation to Power House to have our stress plucked out of our minds~~~! The entire day was good relaxation and really enjoyed myself, if only I can afford a good digital cam, I wanna take loads of nice shots and keep for memory.

Chen Wei never fails to bring us laughter during clubbing. ^^, Thanks, you're the man!

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by, "Oh excuse me please" was my reply.

He said, "Please excuse me too, I wasn't watching for you."

We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told, how we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, "While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love, you seem to abuse. Go and look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by his bed. "Wake up, little one, wake up," I said. "Are these the flowers you picked for me?"

He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."

I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."

I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

FAMILY

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?
So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

I've learned....
That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned....
That we should be glad God answers all prayers -
however misguided they are Remember - NO is an answer......

1 + 1 = 2

I've learned....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned...
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned....
That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned...
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned....
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned....
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks

I've learned....
That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

I've learned....
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Went to MOS again yesterday but it's a different experience. This time, they had an event, Twisted Tales, where some people are dressed based on fairy tales, myths and legends and we had a hell lot of fun, nvr mind other things, so long we get to relax..

Actually I dun wish to do things against other people's wills, so if you dun feel like it, it's alright to spell it out. The motive is to have fun, nothing else.. Got to know an American Military Physician @ MOS. He's quite outgoing and chatty person, maybe one's looks will help in making more new frens. o.O Haha..

The dance floor have lots of additional stuffs too, additional base, air bubbles and foams and better music (compared to the last trip), I really enjoyed this trip, if we had known, perhaps we can try out twisted costumes too, LOL..

The best way to make it through... Is to listen to your heart.

In life, we have to make a lot of decisions, in which some aren't as easy. We're afraid that whatever decision we made will result a negative effect.

It is at these times that we need to slow down our pace, stop and listen to the voice inside of us. If we are listening only to the wishes around us & chose to ignore our own feelings, we will not be truly happy.

Listen to what your heart feel is right and stand by it, because when you do, you will be happier. It will be a tough and rough road ahead but, with perseverance, nothing would seem impossible.

I have been too careless lately, so much so that I didn't notice that the date for payment of school fees is long over.

Really, sometimes I dunno what I want actually, what I am thinking about, what I am doing...

Should I be doing better than what I am doing currently? I always feel lost at times, wonder if there's anyone kind enough to show me the way. Sometimes, freedom is like a double-edge sword. Sometimes, I just want someone to tell me what to do instead of me troubled over it.

Indeciveness is one of my greatest weaknesses and definitely I need to find a way to solve this problem. Gotta stay strong minded and not give in to stress. Victory only goes to those who are strong-willed and hardworking.

加油吧, Jason. And to my friends too, ganbatte~~!

Yesterday woke up at around 6 and prepared to go to work. I left house around 6.25 am and bought my breakfast before taking MRT to Boon Lay to switch to bus 192, I still reach the company quite early, around 7.30 am. Not much work for myself, just assisting Sriram a bit of his work.

Then, went to buy snacks for godma after leaving office at around 2 pm.

In the evening met up with Ivy, Weng Wei and Chloe at around 5.30 pm, was supposed to meet them at 5 pm but I was late. We went walking around for a while before proceeding to the 鲜得来 Shanghai Steamboat Cuisine Restaurant, located at 18 Liang Seah Street, just beyond the back of Bugis Junction, one of the restaurants in the alley. The restaurant is rather small but the overall environment is quite cozy and cooling, since we got 4 air-con where we were sitting (2nd floor).

We started ordering food at around 6.30 pm since we waited for quite some time. I remembered it's around 7 that we actually started cooking and eating, as we waited for a few colleagues who came really late, around 8 pm... The overall experience was fun and enjoyable, had a lot of laughs due to Evan, haha. Evan really enjoyed having the crabs and ordered several times, can't remember how many actually. Chee Keong was saying that the amount of crab shells could actually on par with Yong Hock's prawn shells if he went.

The seven of us (Chee Keong, Chloe, Evangeline, Ivy, Missy, Weng Wei and me) ate till around 11 pm before heading for pool. It was cancelled eventually as some of us were tired and a few have to go back office the next day.

Still, it's an enjoyable event (Chloe's Birthday celebration on that day, actual is on 11 June). I hope the next place to eat will be much more spacious, haha. Evan must go so we can chat and laugh non-stop. LOL..

Do you know?

In case you don't know yet, the tomato is actually a fruit.

The tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a plant in the Solanaceae or nightshade family, as are its close cousins tobacco, chili peppers, potato, and eggplant. The tomato is native to Central, South, and southern North America from Mexico to Argentina.

It is a perennial, often grown outdoors in temperate climates as an annual, typically reaching to 1–3 m (3 to 10 ft) in height, with a weak, woody stem that often vines over other plants. The leaves are 10–25 cm long, odd pinnate, with 5–9 leaflets on petioles[1], each leaflet up to 8 cm long, with a serrated margin; both the stem and leaves are densely glandular-hairy. The flowers are 1–2 cm across, yellow, with five pointed lobes on the corolla; they are borne in a cyme of 3–12 together. The word tomato derives from a word in the Nahuatl language, tomatl. The specific name, lycopersicum, means "wolf-peach" (compare the related species S. lycocarpum, whose scientific name means "wolf-fruit", common name "wolf-apple").

I wanna go sing song... =(

"If you're upset, call me. I won't guarantee I'll make you laugh but I can cry with you.

If you ever feel like you need to run away, call me.
I won't guarantee I'll persuade you to stay but I can run with you.

But, if one day you call and there's no answer....I might need you."

MOS - Ministry of Sound

http://www.ministryofsound.com.sg/v2/index.aspx

Located at the heart of Clarke Quay, MOS attracts a lot of visitors ^^

Block C The Cannery
River Valley Road
#01(02) - 07 & #02(01) - 08
Clarke Quay S(179022)

I went to Clarke Quay to MOS to join Chen Wei for the first time, first time at MOS too, feeling nervous, haha.

When I reached, only get to see Jong. Chen Wei-tachi were still on their way here. So all we can do is wait. Around near 11pm, we saw Chong and Chen Wei slowly walking to us.

We went in and opened a bottle of Chivas Regal (12 years), that entitled us to 5 free entries. Jong and his friend paid for their entries. Zhi Huang, Chong Yivun, Chen Wei, Lin Hui (Chen Wei's cousin, also working in Ameron at MMM section.), Jong Tze Shin & his friend plus me were there to chill and relax. Asked Missy to join us but she's not available. =(

Chen Wei's very hospitable to bring me around to explore the few different themes, all very westernized and fun. There is one room I like which plays less noisy music and the lighting is good to chill.

We went back and to the dance floor, one with the cage dance floor. I din feel like dancing so I went back to have a drink. The liquor that Chen Wei ordered is quite nice and I enjoyed drinking with them.

After which, I joined them at the center dance floor and really enjoyed the rythm and sweat out a lot, haha.

The entire feeling is enjoyable cos my friends were there, I would go there again, if Chen Wei jio me again. ^^,

Thank you for inviting me, I enjoy the experience.

HUSBAND'S LETTER

A husband wrote the following letter for his wife and left it on the dining room table:

'To My Dear Wife,

You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you, and I value youas a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter I hope you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 18-year-old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel.

Please don't be upset - I should be back home before midnight.

'When the man came home late that night he found the following letter on the dining room table:

WIFE'S LETTER

'To My Dear Husband,

I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about me being 54 years old. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you are also 54 years old. As you know, I am a math teacher at our local college. I would like to inform you that while you're at the Comfort Inn, I will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my students, who is also the assistant tennis coach. He is young, charming, and like your secretary, he is 18 years old. As a successful businessman with an excellent knowledge of math, you will understand that we are in the same situation, although with one small little difference; 18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54 goes into 18.

Therefore I will not be home until sometime tomorrow.'

27-May-2008: British police charge 21-year-old in Harry Potter actor (Knox) knifing

LONDON - BRITISH police charged a 21-year-old man on Monday with the murder of a teenage actor who had a part in the next Harry Potter film due out in November.

Karl Bishop will appear at Bexley Magistrates' Court in south-east London on Tuesday charged with the murder of 18-year-old Rob Knox outside the Metro Bar in the suburb of Sidcup on Saturday evening.

Knox, who played student Marcus Belby in 'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince', was killed in a scuffle, with friends suggesting his slaying could have been a revenge attack following a row over a phone last week.

The murder takes to 14 the number of teenagers violently killed in the English capital this year.
A man came to the bar in Sidcup armed with two knives and was seen waving one of them around through the window.

A scuffle broke out and Knox and his brother Jamie were reportedly trying to protect each other.

Several others are said to have sustained knife wounds.

The brothers' friends Tom Hopkins, 18, and Tarik Ozress, 17, managed to pin the armed man down, wrestling with him for several minutes before police arrived.

Knox was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

In a statement shortly after his death, Knox's parents Colin and Sally said: 'Rob was kind and thoughtful and would always help out others.

'The life and soul of the party, he was very outgoing, loved sports, and would always strike up a conversation with people.

'He was respectful to others and adored by all his family and friends.'

Film producers Warner Bros said: 'We are all shocked and saddened by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family.' -- AFP

Natural Remedies for Anxiety

What is Anxiety?

Although it's normal to feel anxious from time to time, if you feel anxious without reason and if these worries persist and affect your day-to-day life, you may have generalized anxiety disorder.

Symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder may include restlessness, feeling tense or on edge, irritability, impatience, or poor concentration.

People may also notice changes in their physical health such as headaches, jaw pain, muscle tension, difficulty falling or staying asleep (insomnia), dry mouth, fatigue, chest tightness, indigestion, bloating, excessive sweating, and headache.

It's important to be evaluated by your doctor for a proper diagnosis and to rule out other medical problems that may resemble anxiety.

Natural Remedies for Anxiety
These are some of the natural remedies that are being explored for anxiety.
Passionflower

The herb passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) was used as a folk remedy for anxiety and insomnia. Two studies involving a total of 198 people examined the effectiveness of passionflower for anxiety. One study found passionflower to be comparable to benzodiazepine drugs. There was also improvement in job performance with passionflower and less drowsiness with passionflower compared with the drug mexazolam, however, neither was statistically significant.

Side effects of passionflower may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and rapid heartbeat. The safety of passionflower in pregnant or nursing women, children, or people with kidney or liver disease has not been established. There have been five case reports in Norway of people becoming temporarily impaired mentally after using a combination product containing passionflower. It's not known whether the other ingredients in the supplement played a role.

Passionflower should not be taken with sedatives unless under medical supervision. Passionflower may enhance the effect of pentobarbital, a medication used for sleep and seizure disorders.

Bodywork

Massage therapy, Shiatsu, and other forms of bodywork are widely used to diminish muscle tension, relieve stress, and improve sleep.

Mind/Body Techniques

Mind/body breathing exercises, physical exercise, yoga, tai chi, self-hypnosis, meditation, and biofeedback are just some of the stress reduction techniques used for anxiety. Try different techniques and determine which routine you can stick to with a hectic schedule.

Valerian

The herb valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is best known as a herbal remedy for insomnia. Valerian is also used in patients with mild anxiety, but the research supporting its use for anxiety is limited.

For example, researchers with the Cochrane Collaboration reviewed studies on valerian for anxiety. Only one study met their quality criteria. It was a four-week study comparing valerian, the medication diazepam (Valium), and a placebo in 36 people with generalized anxiety disorder. No statistically signficant differences were found between the groups, perhaps due to the small size of the study.

Valerian is usually taken an hour before bedtime. It takes about two to three weeks to work and shouldn't be used for more than three months at a time. Side effects of valerian may include mild indigestion, headache, palpitations, and dizziness. Although valerian tea and liquid extracts are available, most people don't like the smell of valerian and prefer taking the capsule form.

Valerian shouldn't be taken with many medications, especially those that depress the central nervous system, such as sedatives and antihistamines. Valerian shouldn't be taken with alcohol, before or after surgery, or by people with liver disease. It should not be used before driving or operating machinery. Consultation with a qualified health practitioner is recommended. For more information about valerian, read the Valerian Fact Sheet.

Kava

Native to Polynesia, the herb kava (Piper methysticum) has been found to have anti-anxiety effects in humans.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), however, has issued an advisory to consumers about the potential risk of severe liver injury resulting from the use of dietary supplements containing kava. To date, there have been more than 25 reports of serious adverse effects from kava use in other countries, including four patients who required liver transplants.

Gamma-aminobutyric Acid (GABA)

GABA is an amino acid that is known to play a role in the physiology of anxiety. Some prescription drugs for anxiety work by affecting GABA receptors in the brain. The degree to which orally ingested GABA supplements can reach the brain, however, is unknown.
Aromatherapy

Plant essential oils can be added to baths, massage oil, or infusers. Essential oils that are used for anxiety and nervous tension are: bergamot, cypress, geranium, jasmine, lavender, Melissa, neroli, rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang. Lavender is the most common and forms the base of many relaxing blends.

Other Natural Remedies for Anxiety
Pantothenic acid

知識競賽主持人問:「貓是否會爬樹?」
老鷹搶答:「會!」
主持人:「請舉例說明!」
老鷹含淚道:「那年,我睡熟了,貓爬上樹。 。。。後來就有了貓頭鷹。。」

Deadly Fruit....!

One day in the forest, 3 guys were just hiking along a trail when all of a sudden, a huge pack of Indians attaked them and knocked them out.

When they woke up, they were at the leader of the tribe's throne. The chief then said "All of your lives may be spared if you can find ten of one fruit and bring them back to me." So after a while, the first man returned with 10 apples. The chief then ordered him to stick all ten of them up his butt without making any expression at all on his face. He had a little bit of trouble with the first one and started crying while trying to put the next one in. He was soon killed.

Later, the next guy came in with 10 grapes. The chief soon ordered him to do the same as the first guy. After to the 9th grape, the man started laughing so hard for no apparent reason, and was killed.

The first two guys soon met in heaven and the first guy ask the second, "Why did you start laughing? You only needed one more grape and you'd have gotten away!

"The second guy answered while still laughing, "I couldn't help it, I saw the third guy walking in with durian."

I feel that I still got a lot of room for growth. Decision making is very important, made one today. I believe that the decision I made is reasonable and will be good in the long run, since there are so much for me to focus and carry on forward.

Remember this saying from my friend:

You can always delete what you don't like or want in the computer but in reality, you cannot do it. Whatever you do, no matter how small or big the matter is, will definitely affect those around you.

Cheers to my friends reading my blog, in whatever you do, hope you will love it and excel. ^^

Wednesday:

Went down to Pasir Ris straight after work and arrived at Downtown East, NTUC chalet, at around 7.30 pm. Thought that I would be later than Rayner and Adeline they all but instead, I was the earliest among them. Among all the people there, there was none I know except the birthday girl, Siyun, whom I only met with once, during the KTV session at the PartyWorld near Somerset MRT Station. She was very hospitable and offered me food and drinks. Luckily, 2 of Siyun's friends were very friendly and chatted with me. One of them is a very gorgeous lady, who is so mature for her age, unlike some girls of the same age. You wouldn't believe she is 20~21. Sadly, I wasn't that outgoing enough to get her name and number, haha. Anyway, she will make a nice friend. The other person who talked to me was Dominic, he is a nice guy and saved me from the depths of the lone valley. At that moment, I felt his strong hands holding on to me and pulled me to safety. Haha.

Only at around 8.45 pm, then Rayner and the rest came. Could be mostly are tired from after work and didn't talk much. So we went on as a small group of the 3M's after Shiqi and her boyfriend went away, not to mention Adeline went too, to meet up with her friend. And so the 3M's went on talking abt the pretty girls at the table opposite and what we are going to do when Adeline returns.

.................................................................... After the long wait, at around 1.30 am, Adeline returned. We couldn't go anywhere, and headed to explore the shops at Downtown East a bit before heading home. Siyun was very kind enough to send us to near the exit when we left.

Last but not least, a happy 21st birthday for Siyun and hope she will get to her dreams and goals soon. ^^

Friday:

After work, we (Chloe, Ivy, Selena, Junsheng, Michael, Tristan, Yong Hock, Yong Wei & Me) went to CCK Lot 1's Hong Kong Cafe to have dinner. Evangeline joined us for food when we were near finishing. The serving for the food there is huge and the price is affordable. I would recommend if you are very hungry. Haha. Some of the meat in the dishes we ordered were quite tough, like Tristan's pork chop and Ivy's chicken.

After dinner, we went upstairs to Minitoons to take a look at the soft toys. The variety of the soft toys can easily knock me out. That's how many different types of soft toys I am talking about. Eventually we didn't buy any and went upstairs to sing KTV. Then, someone said, "I thought the KTV here closed already?". OMG, poor planning leads to near disaster.

After discussion, we went to the KTV at Jurong East Entertainment Centre (Is this what they call it? =P). There are a couple of strong vocalists, Chloe for high pitch songs, Tristan for Huang Yi Da's and Jacky Zhang's songs, Weng Wei's Jukebox, Yong Hock's Rap, etc... We enjoyed the singing all the way till about 3 am.

The entire gathering was fun and relaxing. Thanks a lot you all~~!

Saturday:

Woke up at about 10.30 am and slacked for a while before going to meet Yong Wei to go to chalet. At first, we wanted to take bus 966 to ECP but Kang Wee offered to send us there (help him carry ice and watermelon).

We went to Boon Lay there to fetch Brodie and Xiao Li, and proceed to ECP. We reach there about nearly 5 pm and carried the boxes of bee hoon, chicken wings, fishballs, sotong, and not to mention the "6 kg" of prawns in. The weather did not pardon us even when we are carrying heavy stuffs, it was so hot that a few had to remove their shirts to feel cooler. Taking about cooler, we really felt very cold when we are transferring the prawns and preparing the beer. Haha.

Later, we got extra bags of charcoal and drinks as mixers for the hard liquor they brought. Can you imagine how well they can drink? 8 bottles of hard liquor and 5 bottles of wine. And 2 cartons of beer!! LOL.

At first I had 2 bottles of beer and some mixed liquor. And we chit chat and relax upstairs. Then we came down and enjoyed the BBQ and music by Richard. Had some hard and dry sweet potatoes, became someone's QC tester in the end. After which, we accompanied 2 girls, Missy and Vivian, out to Geylang to have some Dim Sum.

This Missy, never eat prawns still tell me to order so much with prawns. In the end, I had to stuff them in. >.< My stomach was swimming with schools of prawns... Luckily the nice barley and wintermelon dessert managed to save me. This is not the end as the beancurd that Missy could not finish ended up in my stomach too...

After food with them, we followed Jeremy's (Michael's friend) car back to ECP and continued our drinking session. Michael could hold so much liquor and he drank mostly neat instead of having it with mixers. Our bowls had been filled to the rim and in the end, we kept them there to rear goldfishes ^^.

The entire week was very fun, since there's Labour Day and a nice weekend. I hope they would organise this kind of gathering more so that we can relax from stress over work~~

Cheers.

It's been quite a while since I last went for swimming. Today the weather is good and the sun is just nice, just feel like having a dip inside the pool and relax. So I cycled on my "cui" bicycle (LOL) to the neighbourhood pool at around 10 plus for swimming. I swam for some time until it got too crowded and I din feel like continuing.

Just got out of the pool and went for shower before going to Anchorpoint to get some Baguettes from Four Leaves for curry tonight. Haven try Baguette from this bakery before, so tonight will have a good answer whether it's good or not.

Anchorpoint has changed a lot since the last time I have been there, it's got a very nicely renovated cafe (tcc), Times, banquet food court and many boutiques to choose from. The entire feeling that the renovation gives me a soothing thought that make me feel that I would go there again, maybe to pick up a book from Times or to enjoy a meal with my family at its Jack's Place, or even some coffee and dessert with a couple of friends.

Too bad I din take any photographs, or else you ppl out there can enjoy the same thought I felt earlier. ^^

Cheers and enjoy ur day~~!

It's been around 6 months since I started work at Ameron. My understanding of the basic job scope is alright but project-wise, I will still need guidance of Sriram.

Having to work for quite some time, getting work done requires good co-ordination and positive attitude. The first basic thing is the passion or the interest towards your job. So if you feel you don't like what you are doing now, no point staying back. Coz you wun be happy working under those situations.

Just bought a nice long sleeve shirt from BHG's Crocodile section. I feel that Crocodile has nice designs and fabric material. So I will continue to support this brand, and no more G2000!! I hope, haha.

Tomorrow morning will be bz bz.. Hope can get some time to do reading on the information available essential for report and project.

I would wan to plan a trip to visit him in the future when my work settled down. ^^,

Cheers Christoph!

Shagged man!!! Today went to play street soccer tournament organized by our company. I was doing goal keeping but that doesn't mean it was easy. In fact, I feel a lot of stress doing goal keeping. Always wanna do my best, just that my body doesn't allow so..

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the game even though we finished 2nd from the bottom, we also got best in fair play, wonder how we got it in the first place. Managed to grab 30 dollars worth of prize money. Haha.

Then, we went to Tiong Bahru to have chicken mee, treated by my senior using the money we won from the game. The noodles is very nice and have a good cantonese taste, as said by my senior. I do feel it's nice, just that it's a bit salty. Nice food anyway ^^

After lunch, I was knocked out till dinner. This is a sign telling me I haven been doing regular jogs and other exercises. Gotta start a routined exercise or else I will suffer during reservice.

As for work, I am receiving good feedback from my colleagues, pushing me to do even better in the future. Actually I do have to report to a supervisor before my manager, just that they haven hire the right one for it, since this person gotta be very experienced and capable of performance in the company.

Onwards for me~~! Hell ya! LOL.. Wanna go dip in pool soon~~!

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

The whole of today we were attending a course, Impromptu Reporting. For some of the topics covered it's not easy to absorb them all in, have to listen and understand more attentively tomorrow.

Wanted to go for a swim and relax at the pool today but it rained, and my mood is entirely dampened by the weather. Perhaps on weekend I can have myself dipped in the pool for quite sometime and wash my tireness away. ^^

I still have not finished fixing my model, last week I wanted to do it but had to work on Saturday, so the only rest day is Sunday. I spent the day reading my comic and it's really such a short weekend last week. I wanna get it going this weekend, hopefully.

Yesterday, my colleague talked to me about him working in the company for 11 years already and he feels that he has got no life while working there, true. Only work and rest for the time he has been in the company. Now I think about it, it is still an uncertain subject to say but I will try to find time for other stuffs and upgrade myself.

The following is a nice quote:

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.

Monday, April 07, 2008

Today is just experimenting with the resins and meeting with engineer from head company and get to learn what they do in Holland. Then in the evening supposed to witness winding process but due to machine failure, I din get to see it. Not for tomorrow and the day after, cos' got some course going on.

I start to fear for what I have been doing is it related to other jobs out in the field? If I get unemployed, I dunno what will happen. Future so hard to tell, for now I wanna pray that my application for studies would be a success and to work hard on it and get stable in my work. If not, I dunno what to do also.

Getting into this company is rather lucky, since the last time when I get interviewed for work, the reason they reject me would be most likely because of my colour deficiency but the engineering manager did not do so, instead he took me in. I feel grateful and given such an opportunity to learn and gain a career foothold would be great.

For now, I am assistant to the process engineer, Sriram. He's a nice guy and says that I am a process engineer myself as well, I do not agree as I have too much that I still need a lot of guidance. So, actually it's too early to tell but I sometimes can't stop myself from feeling helpless at times. Indeed I will work hard for this career, and I do hope it's a two-way thing, that there is return for my effort (I put in some, I don't count myself very capable but I will continue to work hard).

I wish for a smooth sailing trip for my career.

Sunday, April 06, 2008

I am actually an old fashioned guy who thinks that if I would ever meet the right one, she will be the one whom I will be with forever, or at least till I go into eternal sleep. Haha. That's what most will do when they sees this, perhaps.

Timing is the key. For now ahead what I see is to learn and gather the experiences necessary for work and building a career. With a degree, I think it will be better to set a view of things that I wanna do, maybe even finding a job that can send me overseas to learn things. I would certainly want to see the world, from a good view.

My manager has given me a nice sign and I am converted a permanent staff in only 4 months instead of 6. I am very happy and will continue to work hard. Haha.. ^^

Most of my friends are already attached, sometimes it makes me think that there's sth wrong with me, lol.. Good to see them so lovey-dovey, feeling warmth coming from them sure makes me feel nice, hope to feel the same too. I am really glad to see that my friends are happy and blissful. Doesn't matter if I don't have time to go out with them, I will be glad enough to see that they are happy.

The important thing is not to get into a relationship just because I want one, but because that I can't live without the one.

All the best to my friends out there~~! ^^

Cheers~

Tuesday, April 01, 2008

Come to think again, papa and mama have already been slogging their lives for very long time and if possible, I want them to live a good life. So, if god exists, please let them live a very long life so that I will be able to take care of them. All the rest can wait. Still the same thing, family's the most impt.

Monday, March 31, 2008

I have watched a pretty good drama recommended by a pretty nice friend (pretty and nice, haha), Si Yun.

It's 1 litre of tears. Rather than crying for Kidou Aya, I am proud of her that she managed to live her life so bravely. I hope that in days, months or even years to come, I'll be able to find what I am actually searching for, for now I really have no clue, just randomly playing my jigsaw puzzle without a starting point. Nevertheless, I am actually placing the pieces together which may in the end lead to the complete puzzle. Why a long way? You may ask me. There is no right or wrong for taking a shorter or a longer path, since it's down to the individual to decide what is necessary for them. Is it the goal in the end that you are seeking for, the path which you passed that makes it meaningful, or it's both that brings you experiences and achievement? I don't wanna comment about it, every individual is special and thinks differently.

The meaning I received from this story is that no one should think that god is unfair to them, it might just be a blessing in disguise. For this case, Aya understood that the people around her are true to her and it makes me feel good for her even though she had to leave this world at such a young age.

Thank you for the nice story, for I truly appreciate it, and I believe in every single small detail in my life that will make me a different person, truly a better one each time.

Dunno how come today I suddenly feel so lonely..

Yesterday was a really great day for me, since I got permanent job status and a little increment but I don't feel really happy about it.

I guess the problem with me is that I am too impulsive (or should I say desperate) to have a relationship, that's why I scare girls away.. I don't really have high standards, since I am no standard at all to start with.

Mum says I should cope with work and studies first but I do feel that if the right one comes, I wanna put in my effort to love and care for her.

Argh.... My knee hurts... Always been like this these few days, how am I gonna play the company soccer match? =(

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Things to achieve in years to come:
First step - to get a degree and to establish a career at the same time. (just try to do well for these, the rest will come into the picture)
Second step - haven really think of it yet but really wanna see more of the world, maybe in 3 years time.

One thing for sure, my pay not high, therefore to think about other things such as investments or even buying certain things will have to wait quite long. And I think that I am the type who spends on items that are not necessary in the first place. Wat to do, comic is one of my hobbies and I love to read them. Actually I spend more on food and other stuff, such as buying pc stuff or gaming accessories, and not using them for the right purposes.

What I really want in life?

Firstly, my interest is in the Engineering field, therefore goal in life will be closely related to my interest. First thing to do is to become a knowledgeable engineer in the working society. It's not easy and I am always easily distracted. Trying to keep in the course of where I am heading.

Next, family stuff.. Mum and Dad have worked well long enough and I guess someday I will eventually hold the responsibility to take care of them, financially I suppose, which is why I am concerned about how well or bad I am being paid.

The problem now is to settle for the semester bills when the application for studies eventually approved. Hope by then I can seek for partial loan from bank, that way wun be so shiong.

Good thing is I am going to be a permanent staff in this company and there will be a bit increment. Hopefully will be able to save more and pay off whatever is essential..

Worries, worries and more worries... That's me, thinking abt the future but in the end I feel more troubled abt it. Luckily I got my bro to support me when he graduate at the year of 2014, i suppose, after 2 yr national service and 4 yr uni study...

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Down with cold and fever since yesterday, suffering in office yesterday with flu and was too tired from work even though I din do much work actually. Slept in the bus all the way till I reach Queenstown MRT stop. On the way home, I wanna go to the clinic yesterday already but it wasn't open. So have to go polyclinic today.

Went to the clinic at 0830 hrs, the waiting time is kind of long, only at 10 plus then can go. Took breakfast and medication and some rest, feeling better already. It's been a few years since I last go to the clinic, the clinic has been renovated and looks newer and tidier than its previous old look.

Nothing much to blog today, just rested in the day and so fast it's night again. 2 more days and I am off to 4th, 7th and 8th aunts' hse, feeling excited but haven change currency yet, will ask mum to help me with it since I nvr change currency before as often as her, she might be able to find good rates.

Saturday, March 15, 2008

I dunno lar, just wanna update this blog once in a while, perhaps me too lazy liao...

Just changed from full time application to part time application for SIM studies, partly due to my 2 pals oso going to study part time too, dunno whether can go into same class or not. Maybe can get to know more frens if I am able to get in. Hopefully can know people from good company and intro me to their company scope so I can see whether the job scope is interesting or not.

Cannot buy my bike for now, school fees gonna cost me a bomb and it will all come from what I earn, not enuf for other commitments, sad to say that..

Process Engineering to me is somewhat challenging and hard if I wanna be a good one. Shows I am trying, not very hard I guess, haha.. Partly is cos there is too much for me to learn, as well as doing it. Perfection is not easy, that's the main reason.

Sriram, my lead engineer, is a good and patient supervisor, and hope that there is more that he will eventually impart to me, for he has much more knowledge and experience in this field than me. All the best if I can do well. Now that I have applied for studies, hope I can get in and be able to cope between work and studies.

Well, I will expect a lot more coming out of myself and if everything is smooth sailing, I would like to continue my career as an Engineer or in the engineering field. That's it for now, the planning is already in place, roads will be set, although rough, I will move on. ^^

Saturday, March 08, 2008

Today went to take a look at the bike shop at woodlands, seems not very well.

On the way home I saw a bike shop at bukit batok there, maybe try and take a look there. Perhaps can find the one I like..

Hope it's a happy ending..

Peeps, it's Friday again~~!!

Already got plans to slot in my wkend, Saturday night to gather with buddies for dinner and anything they like. At first going to play badminton with a friend on Sat but she busy with her report writing so looking forward to have a game with her.

Nth much to add in the blog, just write sth to fill in the spaces, haha.

Later going to Weng Wei's place there to take a look at the bikes, hope to get what I like, most importantly is that they provide delivery cos I don't wanna ride a bike back from Woodlands!!!

Looking forward to go to 4th Aunt's house on Good Friday, already request for leave and my manager approve quite fast, abt a few mins after I applied. Haha.. Go there relax and enjoy nice food sia..

It's been quite some time since I blogged the previous time.

Yesterday went out with Weng Wei to search for a nice bike but went to a very expensive bike shop, ai yoo... $17,000 for a bike, will you buy if you go? ^^

But the frame is so light, and wheels are those racer kind, so cannot blame for the price, for it's a very exquisite model. So bought nth in the end, den we went to look for a place for pool. Went to Queenstown de but I think it has been closed down for quite some time. It was Weng Wei's fav pool hangout place during poly days since the price is good. Must be during his NS times he din go and made it shut down le. Haha...

In the end we went to Clementi K Box to sing a couple of hours, open Jay concert, haha.. Mostly Jay's songs, since most of the Jay's songs I pick de... I had a great time..

Thanks Weng Wei!

From today onwards, I am a permanent staff and I shall strive to gain knowledge, experiences and earn lots of money so that I can lift off the worries from mummy. ^^

Watched Jay's "Kung Fu Dunk" today (alone...).

His acting improved again, hope to see more movies of him in the future. "Jia You!"

Today din go swimming since lots of relatives visiting. I am curious why we don't go visit our relatives but I din ask mum, most prob she wun say anything de.

Tmr gonna get back to work le but still got some stuff haven finish. Gotta finish early today so can catch more sleep, even though already slept a lot these few days.

Saturday, February 09, 2008

Such a long break after working in this company for 3 months plus, good enuf for me to rest a bit and enjoy the festive season, and prepare what's required to get things going again.

Din go to frens' hse for new year visit since most of them stay in the north, an excuse to get me home-bound, haha.

It's been quite some time since my last sweat out, partly due to aching in my knee. I think, most prob next week I can go for swimming again. ^^

Nth much to say, most of the free time watching drama and thinking abt work stuff, quite boring lifestyle anyway. Maybe it's okay to go some other countries, m'sia for a start, to rest and relax, visit the beach or view the scenary there. See who got lobang there loh, maybe wei seng knows more, haha.

Dramas watched recently:
1. Bambino
2. Kurosagi
3. Brown Sugar Miacchiato [黑糖瑪奇朵]
4. Romance Princess [公主小妹]

All very nice and good meaning.. My vocab very limited, dat's all I can say abt these dramas.

One thing for sure, the me inside still don't wanna grow up yet, just dun wanna.. =P

First of all, a happy "mouse" year to everyone.

Another year has passed, according to the lunar calender, I am already 23 yrs old. Gotta be more mature le but a part of me still dun wanna grow up, haha..

Hope there are more red packets coming in, for you guys out there as well~~!

Take care, my friends!

Just watched Rambo 4 with Christoph and Johndaniel. Simple storyline, mass killing. Good enough to kill time but the story is not there. ^^

Lunar New Year's coming next week, need to quite a lot of cleaning. At first, I thought of taking a leave off tomorrow but I don't have a lot to clear. Just into the work for around 3 months. Time flies, Adeline and Shiqi graduating tmr. Tot of celebrating with Jasmine and them but can't find a good time for it, just see what happens.

It's good working for my engineer, got a lot to learn, do and catch up. Most of it are knowledge and information based, I'm still green and 3 mths here seems like I only got the fundamentals. For those indept stuff, gotta spend more time and effort into it.

Great time to collect ang bao lui, haha. Hope to get good money and buy some more clothes, nvr seem to be enuf. ^^

理想情人 (The Perfect Lover)

Regarding this topic, it's really depending on the individual what are the attributes that is required when looking out for the perfect lover.

Of course I have some criteria too ^^:

1. Self respect - Knows how to look pretty and comfortable.
2. Looking good inside - A kind heart.
3. Looking good outside - Nice features (average looks will do fine ^^)
4. Respect elders - This is very important, a lot of people missed this part.
5. Smart - Knows when to be smart and when to act blur, haha..
6. Elegance - Knows what to do depending on situation.
7. Love - Love me as well as I love her. ^^

Some of the things are not mentioned because of my English standard, of course, what makes a woman good is not a manual of guidelines. The mystery of a woman makes her attractive and men kneel to her, haha..

Hope to meet a girl I like and that she will like me too.

Weekends, love it best.. ^^

Can relax all I want, read my comics, watch drama and animes, etc...

It's been around 3 months since I first came into Ameron. Work's getting tougher, a lot of knowledge is required. Nowadays, I feel that I am more acknowledged, it's a good sign. I hope that in 3 more months time, my manager can acknowledge me and give me a permanent job status so I can start planning on studies. I don't wanna stuck at management trainee for too long.

Even so, I foresee my career path wouldn't be forever in the chemical, process and whatsoever field related to engineering. Just hope to choose a nice course and try to get a degree with my interest. By age of 26 - 29, should be able to set a point on where to root my footing.

For now, it will just be gaining experience, save the bonus that they would give and plan for studies. Other issues wouldn't be as impt bah, since I'm still an immature kid. Only time will tell the difference bah.

Recently, maybe b'cos I frequent to the pool, my knee hurts more. Do hope that it will heal soon, if not it will greatly affect my IPPT and I will have to go for the torturous RT. I still like swimming anyway and will go at least once or twice a week so I can have a good sweat out. Removing the tummy fats will be the priority, haha.. All the best to me, staying fit and healthy is beneficial. ^^

Monday, January 14, 2008

Saturday went for a swim (entire week clocked around 140 laps, quite good le. In future need to clock at least 40 laps each time and 80 - 100 laps a week, maybe next time can 1 shot 70 laps, shuo bu ting orh hahaha ^^) and went to take a look at mountain bikes, wah so expensive but all so stylish. Hope to get one soon, really need to save a lot of $$$..

Today went to play bb with ex-poly classmates (my brothers) ^^, had a good time with them for lunch and nice board game, still figuring how to play, at least know better already. Hope to be better in the future.

Tired and sleepy already, good night.

Friday, January 11, 2008

Haiz, why they dun wan me? Just b'cos I am color-deficient? That's not fair, I don't lose out in terms of working attitude, mentality and determination to learn. Feel pretty disgusted when they reject me. This is life, b'cos they can choose, they want better.

Swam 60 laps today, very tired now but it's a great accomplishment since I finish without breaks, 2nd time to hit 60 already. Actually wanted to try to reach 70 laps today but really super exhausted, cannot go on le. When out of pool, walk oso cannot walk in straight line. It's okay, I put in effort and I am happy. At least I still excel in something even though I experience more knee aches.

Yesterday had a chat with our new student intern, since I have disadvantage working in the engineering environment, he suggested it would be good to start studying other courses, so as to switch my line. Maybe I will go for management courses or admin studies. For now, I am just blur and pondering which way should I go. There are many criteria if I wanna go study. Gotta plan properly. Well, just hope everything works out.

Jia You ah wei! With determination, you can excel! 70 laps!!! Haha.. I still want the RAINBOW!

Good night...

Jason loves to act cool...

On Monday, we have a new attachment student from NTU to join us in the Engineering Dept, quite a nice and friendly guy. He graduated from poly and advanced to uni, hope to be like him oso, dunno when can go study too. Not sure wat plan to go abt since financial is one of the priority. Sometimes wish mummy and daddy can help me a bit for study fees but for now, it's all on my own. Can't be too dependent on parents nowadays, since already 20+ liao, must be more "dong shi" le.

2 colleagues gonna leave us soon, sigh.. I suppose the one good thing is I can move my desk to a more conducive area, can slack a bit when I got free time, instead of getting tensed all the time since the QC Manager desk just opp. of mine. It's stressed to sit down there. Haiz..

I heard from my colleague that if I ever get confirmed, I need to have a talk with our MD, and he's a very knowledgeable person. They said he's someone who demands a lot and one gotta be really proficient in his/her work. He will ask abt my job scope and sth like, "What have you learnt so far?", but I don't think I know how to reply yet.

Work aside, today had dinner with john and christoph, since mummy din cook. See mummy so tired from work, she not cooking can rest more. But nevertheless, home-cooked is still the best! Had Dot sot bibimbap for the first time, the taste quite nice, it used to be a housewife dish made from leftovers but nowadays it's been commercialized and sold almost everywhere ^^

Quite lazy these few days to go exercise, must go swimming after work tmr liao, if not really getting fatter by the day. T.T IPPT may pop out of nowhere, must be always ready. For now I still feel the stress on my knees, do hope they can heal soon and I can start jogging to improve 2.4km stamina.

Ganbatte Jason!

Wednesday, January 09, 2008

These few days kind of busy, need to monitor the production due to high reject rate, and mini boss on course, so I need to host meeting in place of him with production side to discuss with them about failure analysis and how to improve the quality and performance of the production team. It's a good experience to ask the personnels from the different depts to meet up for discussion. There's still a lot of room for improvement, since I am not good at group discussion. But I think I will do a better job next time, since the people are willing to sit down with me to talk about how to minimize failure in products.

Hope they will recognize my effort put in, if any ^^

Trying to find time to one shot watch a lot of anime and read comics, haha..

Friday, January 04, 2008

Got a new haircut today.

Sigh, quite sian cos everyone earns more den me... Haiz, although work here is not that tensed, but need to make decisions and apply a lot of knowledge that sometimes I dun have and need to read up on articles or sth relevant.

Not much time to do anything extra... Like working on miniature models, etc...

Kind of windy these few days, hope tmr doesn't rain, haha.. By next month, I will wanna get myself a nice bike so I can ride long distance on weekends. Gotta look carefully, since I not good at buying things cos most of the time I see okay I buy le.

Kind of blur lately, it's time to exercise my mind and body once again, ^^.

First post in the new year ^^. First of all, a happy new year to everyone out there.

Today quite unlucky for us, our bus turning in the expressway had a punctured tire and we were held up, so we waited for another vehicle to pick us up. The person to pick us up was the transport company's boss. He looked very young, like oldest you can say is 30 but quite successful to own the company. ^^ Lucky for us, the vehicle he driving us to our company is Toyota Previa, very high-class car, the door is those auto-door that you just need to open and it opens the door itself, I guess it's kind of a dream car if you are there to take the ride. So comfy and high-tech. Haha, really wanna get a car of my own if I can afford one.

This car too expensive le, I saw over the net, it's about 130k with COE. OMG... It would be great if I can own something like this.

Having heard from the seniors that having a car is more of a liability rather than an asset, kinda scared if I wanna start driving one.

Another week passed already, time seems to pass very fast recently. Work's fine, colleagues as well, the critical thing that I am facing right now is my functional manager, will he be so kind enuf to convert me into a perm? Any work is not really impt for me right now, all I want now is to have the security in the position that I am lacking. If I can get this job, I can do rather much, save up a sum, select what I wanna study, and much more.

Actually today wanna go for a swim but since yesterday can't get to bed and today woke up rather restless, I decided to have my swim perhaps on Monday. Just got my Citibank savings account and ATM card. This means my saving project is starting, haha.. I've been thinking, if I start saving early, I would not be that desperate when rainy days arrive or when I wanna get sth nice but I dun have the $$ for it.

With good planning comes good results, I hope.. Being a process engineer isn't as easy as I think it would be, a lot of discipline is involved and time needs to be used on the right stuff. Like doing research studying or even some R&D hands on. Sriram's a good mini boss and he is willing to guide me, unlike my other colleague, he suffered too much of Tai Chi attack so much so that he already submitted his resignation, haiz, one less nice colleague to work around with, makes my work a bit harder whenever I need the help from the QC section. Luckily, I got to know a few of the nice QC staffs and supervisor. Hope everything goes smoothly. ^^

Thinking abt new year's resolution, here's what I think I should be having for the next year:

1) In terms of maturity, I must admit that I have a lot of room for improvements, really gotta buck up on that.
2) $$$, this is very impt also. Since I dun come from a rich family, it's very impt for me to start savings early. Wei Yu Chou Mou mah ^^
3) As for getting a gf, I think I too immature to rush into things like this and thus the effect is...

I think this is what I wanna do for the next year, to get a perm placing in work, savings, and if possible, to start studying early too. Tmr is the last day of the year but not much of the activities being booked to me, I guess I will go for a swim and head home to have family dinner. ^^

Sometimes I feel helpless and lost, afraid to ask anyone to guide me a way out.

I dunno what I can do anymore, if my actions only increases the injuries in people's hearts.

I feel lousy, maybe the loneliness is born in me and will live in me for quite some time.

All the best, I hope everyone is happy in the end.

叶子的离开, 是风的追求, 还是树的不挽留?

Recently a lot of people fall ill, perhaps due to cold weather as well, do take good care of yourselves. Get well soon.

Hope to see you all nice and healthy again ^^

Saturday, December 29, 2007

Missed the transport today cos I was late by 1 min... Took cab to Buona Vista there to chase after the bus. Cost abt $5, felt pretty bad cos the bus waited there for me and was late at each pickup point abt 5 mins time, sorry guys.

Thursday, December 27, 2007

Yesterday diarrhea several times till very tired and slept a few hours, today felt so sleepy. Haiz..

Nevertheless, still went for a swim to shed out some sweat, and felt really better after the swim. ^^ Hope can buy the bicycle soon so I can go night cycling on weekends soon, haha..

Tmr gotta follow up on work, time to sleep le.. Nitez. ^^

Merry Christmas my friends! Celebrated with a couple of friends over steamboat and karaoke. It's nice, to enjoy this lovely season with friends.

Directly after work, went to Jasmine's house to have steamboat together with Adeline, Brandon, and Shiqi. The steamboat's nice. Played with Jasmine's two puppies, Dana and Dior, after dinner. After dinner, went to Adeline's place to wait for her to change and we went to Hougang's Kbox for singing session.

Din know Shiqi sings so well ^^, cos it's hard to sing Jacky's songs. Dunno abt myself, today felt restless. Perhaps due to yesterday's intensive bball playing. Thanks for the nice dinner and singing session!

Too tired to write more, gonna turn in le...

Enjoy the festive season! All the best~~!

Today went back to ngee ann poly to have a bball game with my poly gang (aaron, keong, daw, yide and john). Overslept in the morning therefore late for the game, paiseh cos I seldom late for meetings. Had a great game with them but found out that my stamina depleted quite a lot, gotta go running soon, if not IPPT confirm fail den will get scheduled to RT. I dun wan that to happen. =(

Had lunch at food market just below NP. It's been quite a while since we last ate there ^^. Went bowling at Chevron, my second time bowling and I am still as lousy, haha.. Kept washing the drain. After the game went to daw's place to play mj. I din play as I still new to the game, hope to learn how to play soon so can have more fun time with frens.

A Merry Christmas to all my frens in advance! ^^

Just when we happily talk about going into Malaysia to attend cousin Will's and his wife, Sigrid's wedding dinner, we suddenly remembered about me and my bro's passport issue. We still have not changed our photographs. So we agreed to go have them changed on Wednesday afternoon since I have half day off after the company treat (buffet lunch at Shangri-La).

At first I tot that the photo changing will take only 1 day, when we reached there, we realized they no longer provide this service and we have to change to new passport. So sian cos the entire process will take abt 3 working days (Thursday Hari Raya Haji and following week Tuesday Christmas not counted). That would be our fault as we din change the photos since May 2005? Haha.. In the end, me and didi left behind while mum and 4th aunt went into Malaysia today.

I wonder what I can do these few days apart from swimming and going out shopping. Today opened savings account to save up money for studies. Hope I can save as much as I can within 1 - 2 years, den can study what I decide to venture in the future.

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Since tomorrow is company lunch, so went swimming today to prepare for tmr ^^.

Luckily it din rain today, or else I wun be able to exercise at all this week.

During the swim, saw a lot of people in pajamas at the edge of the pool. Ooh, they are taking their swimming test. I was having the same test 12 years back, haha.. Then, I think I was as nervous as them as I was not as proficient. Today, if I were to take the same test again, it will be a total different thing.

Going to aunt's hse in Malaysia this Thursday to attend my cousin's wedding and celebrate X'mas. Going to eat lots of nice food le. Very long din go aunt's hse for vacation le, wonder how her hse is like now, after the effect of the flood that hit last year.

Gotta turn in early tonight, very tired after the 60-lap swim. Zzzzz....

Monday, December 17, 2007

Din swim yesterday due to heavy rain in the evening, went today instead. After swimming my entire body aching.

Today planned to go out to buy working shoes but mum brought us to Orchard instead. Saw Yi De in Orchard, Aaron said he saw me but I din see him, haha. Din buy anything in the end, just went home with bro earlier. Mum and aunt went to buy lots of clothes (for new year).

Had home cooked western food for dinner, very full now... Okay bah since morning done some exercises. ^^

Happy 23rd Anniversary Mum & Dad! I wanted to give you sth good but I am dried up since I spent too much $$ when I received it. Sorry orh.

Saturday, December 15, 2007

Finally paid off the debt!! I feel so relieved now. Now need to work on work performance so can receive a good increment when permanent, haha..

I've been thinking, some of the things I did earlier ain't cool and I regretted my actions. Ya, you are right. Being persistent will just piss people off, gotta think more carefully before anything. Dun wanna regret again.

Tmr's swim day again! ^^ In fact, this is the 3rd time swimming this week, just a be aching. Swimming lets me think about a lot of stuff as you go long distance, I think it will help cool my head a little.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007

Had a movie with Christ, John and Victor after work. The Heartbreak Kid. Kind of draggy but it's hilarious, but only 21 and above can watch. Really enjoyed the time together with friends, had dinner together at Cineleisure before heading to Borders and back home. Tiring day it's been, night!

I have been thinking about going more on cycling since I have taken interests in it since young, it's time to invest on a good bike and enjoy riding. ^^

Saturday, December 08, 2007

During lunchtime, I followed the workers' agent and the tooling contractor out for lunch at Bukit Panjang (I know it's not allowed but I don't care liao, since my manager nvr cares, I just do my best at work and be responsible to do a good job, tt's all.) We had sweet potato porridge, fish, omelette, fish cakes and fried vegetables. The meal was very filling and the dishes are nice, if possible maybe can bring her there for once. ^^ But the place is not very convenient unless you got a car to drive around.

In the evening I had a great time over dinner and singing @ the Karaoke Bar with Richard, Christoph & Johndaniel. We had dim sum, stingray, chilli sotong, bak kut teh and sugar cane drinks. Halfway at the Karaoke, Jackson came by to join us but he did not take beer as he have to send his worker to work night shift, he sang a few hokkien songs and we were amazed by his nice vocal. Richard has the best and powerful vocal among us all, I heard from him that last time he entered singing competition before and won prizes. He is more of an English song singing. The 4 of us drank 6 jugs of beer altogether, haha..

Thursday, December 06, 2007

After work yesterday, I went home to shower before heading down to City Hall to meet Adeline, Jasmine and Rayner for dinner. We went to Sakae Sushi to have dinner, was my first time there and I was like mountain tortoise, haha.

Had quite a lot of nice food, dunno the names as all in nihongou. Actually was amazed by some of the equipments in Sakae but din say out later they say me sua gu, haha. It's nice since I haven met Rayner since God knows when. Had a good chat with him, heard most of us in 21 who went Uni now are struggling with study and exam load. Work hard guys!

They wanted to watch movie but only got 2 movies and so they not interested (actually i wanna watch hero, but no luck cant get to watch it). So we went to KBox, haha Rayner so excited. After dat den I know why.

Sang till quite late and went back, reach home and shower already 3.30 am. Den went to bed haven sleep soundly mummy woke me up le.

Today hard to pass by cos keep getting sleepy, luckily my supervisor at pipe plant welcomes me there to learn programming from his foreman, Ang. Ang is oso quite a nice guy and he taught me a little abt programming to change length, cutting position, etc.

Today quite happy cos got praised for job well done too. I will continue to work hard so that I can be recognized, good for my future job too.

Really had a great time yesterday, apart from being sleepy. Hope to have more great times in the future. ^^

Monday, December 03, 2007

After taking the curry noodles, I can't seem to fall asleep, maybe because I was too full. So I surfed the internet till around 5 but in between the time went to the toilet a few times due to stomachache. The reason I slept at 5 is also b'cos dad came out of his room and I had to lay on the bed if not he will make a lot of noise abt it, then everyone will wake up. Woke up at 6 again to the toilet and slept till abt 9 when mummy woke me up for breakfast.

After taking some milk and shower, we went to cousin Irene's baby, Cherie's full month celebration. The baby's function lasted till 1 pm and I accompanied my mummy and aunt for a while before looking for my buddy, Keong, at woodlands. Treated mummy and aunt to Swenson's, had coffee and banana split. Can see they were very happy. ^^

Spent time with them till 2.45 pm before gng to look for Keong, just nice he haven eat so I bought him something and chat with him while he plays FFF (Fly For Fun, MMORPG) till 5 pm, den went to IMM to see if I can find something special. Found a nice item and will work on it tonight, hope to finish by today. After having the filling curry chicken, I began working on it but was not able to finish it today. I will continue to work on it tmr. Nitez.

Saturday, December 01, 2007

Yesterday accompanied Christoph to the bank to open his savings account and to Bugis to sign up for broadband at M1's. The entire event took us till 9 pm plus and we were tired and extremely hungry as I usually had a very early lunch, just before noon. After everything, we went to the food market near my hse and ordered hor fun, yee mian and sting ray for our starving stomaches (Christ's first time taking these).

Wah, today find it more difficult to wake up, woke up around 5.50 am. After a quick shower, I quickly went out to the pickup point so that I wouldn't miss the bus. The morning ride became my nap time as I knocked out pretty quickly after it went on.

Too sleepy to talk abt work le, today's work was like okay in the morning and busier in the afternoon as Sriram wanted me to work on some drawings, coordinating part, etc...

On the bus back, got to know a female colleague who's very matured in thinking (Adeline too! ^^) and thinks for her bf's well being, and a lot of other stuffs. I think her bf is quite blessed with her.

Went to Bugis for a haircut before meeting up with Adeline, Brandon and Shiqi at Douby Ghaut for dinner. We had dinner over at Cafe' Cartel and it was quite full, due to the sauce that was in my Carbonara (The two girls had grilled chicken with fish and Brandon had ribs). Then we went to watch Enchanted the Movie, it was a good movie (such that it's Adeline's second time watching it, her first was with a cute little girl, Meredith). The background music and the graphic effects were great, would love to buy the OST CD when it's out. The movie has a creative sense of both laughter and touching scenes that you don't see often. It's a mix of different Disney's fairytale stories with quite a lot of humor as well as touching scenes complemented by great background musics. It would be entertaining to watch the movie in dvd version again when it's out.

After the movie, we took the lift to level 1 and I met Peter (NS pal and basketball fren during 21SA days) just outside the life, he's with a couple of frens too. Perhaps they are going for the midnight shows. I din realized him when I walked past den he tapped me on my shoulder, haha. Not observant enuf, gotta work on it more.

We went to Starbucks and ordered some drinks while we chatted. They got me a Java Chip (the name sounds nice and when shiqi asked wat I wanna have, I said I wanna try dat, very creamy on the surface and perhaps too sweet chocolate taste for me) and Tiramisu, kinda surprised and nice to eat but cheese cake's a bit too fatty for me, haha. Looks like I will have to swim more laps on Saturday noon. Time passed by pretty soon when u are with a couple of nice frens. Walked with them to the bus stop before taking a cab home (since NR7 is not dat convenient for me).

Nice Tiramisu with a touch of alcohol that indulges you. Heard from Shan that TCC has even better ones. ^^ Hope to try them too.

P.S. Got a big red packet from mum, thanks mum for the gift!
